Merseyside Bus Club meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month, from September through to June each year, at the Ship & Mitre public house on Dale Street in Liverpool City Centre (not far from the Birkenhead tunnel exit / entrance).
The November meeting each year is the MBC's Annual General Meeting, and each December we hold our annual Christmas Quiz. The other meetings cover a variety of local, national and occasionally international topics, the presenters using slides or video to illustrate their subjects.
Meetings start at 8pm prompt and finish at around 10.30, following which members can enjoy the range of real ales at the Ship & Mitre's bar. Meetings are publicised in advance in the Review; forthcoming meetings are detailed below.
Non-members are welcome to come along to a meeting or two before joining. The next meetings are:
Wednesday May 5th: Steve Harris presents a show featuring Buses on Merseyside
Wednesday June 2nd: Members' Short Presentations - four or five MBC Members present for 20-30 minutes each on a range of subjects
Wednesday September 1st: Speaker to be confirmed
Wednesday October 6th: Speaker to be confirmed
Wednesday November 3rd: ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Wednesday December 1st: Christmas Quiz 2010 hosted by the inimitable Mr. Dave Godsmark
