Merseyside Bus Club meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month, from September through to May each year, at the Ship & Mitre public house on Dale Street in Liverpool City Centre (not far from the Birkenhead tunnel exit / entrance).
The November meeting each year is the MBC's Annual General Meeting, and each December we hold our annual Christmas Quiz. The other meetings cover a variety of local, national and occasionally international topics, the presenters using slides or video to illustrate their subjects.
Meetings start at 8pm prompt and finish at around 10.30, following which members can enjoy the range of real ales at the Ship & Mitre's bar. Meetings are publicised in advance in the Review; forthcoming meetings are detailed below.
Non-members are welcome to come along to a meeting or two before joining. The next couple of meetings are:
Wednesday November 4th: ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (Members Only) followed - if time permits - by a short photographic presentation.
Wednesday December 2nd: ANNUAL CHRISTMAS QUIZ chaired, as ever, by the inimitable Mr. Dave Godsmark. Will the Andy Wade Cup be returning to Wavertree for a fourth successive year or will it be gracing a new mantelpiece on December 3rd? Wherever it ends up, a good night will be had by all!
